The basic procedure for building my diorama bases.

The display case I like to use is made by Trumpeter, from Amazon.
The cases are available in different sizes, this size fits two 1/24 scale cars.




I cover the base of the case with 2mm cork sheet, from Amazon.
The cork gives a nice tarmac looking finish when painted, and is also a good base for gluing the model grass I use.





For a tarmac looking finish I paint the cork with a black/gray paint.




For a grass finish, the first step is to paint the cork green.

Other accessories for the bases are built from off cuts and scraps of balsa wood, lolipop sticks, jewelery chain, fish tank gravel and stones.
